...SNOW AND BLACK ICE EXPECTED ACROSS PARTS OF THE WESTERN
CAROLINAS AND NORTHEAST GEORGIA TODAY...

.A strong cold front will cross the region east of the mountains
this morning. A band of light to moderate snow will accompany the
front as it passes. In addition to the snow accumulation, quickly
falling temperatures will allow the snow to stick, and/or any
water on untreated roads to quickly freeze, resulting in numerous
travel problems this morning, including during the morning rush.
The snow should end from west to east this afternoon, although
cold temperatures are expected to result in only gradual
improvement to road conditions.
