The source code for this map can be easily gleaned to start up your own Bing map with. Before you can do anything however you will need to do a very simple registration with Bing to get a key so you can authenticate your Bing Maps. Otherwise the map won't work just like Google Maps Version 2 without a map key.
Once you have registered and have your new Bing map key you're all set to install your own Bing map. There are many options and configurations you can implement on your map. Bing has a special AJAX driven interactiive web page named Maps AJAX Control 7.0 ISDK. It has all of the map tools and options for building a map. This interface will give you the proper code and show you where to insert it into your map code. I think it's a very intuitive interface which makes it much easier to implement your custom map.
The map above has several extra features including a "Traffic Layer" that is inacted with the click of a button when zoomed in far enough. The map also has a "Get Current Location" button that when it's clicked causes to map to go to the current users Geo location.
